Maria Castagnozzi

 

Maria Castagnozzi was raised in New York.  She has resided in Brooklyn, The Bronx, Monticello and now in Pelham, New York, with her husband and son.  

 

Maria decided that she wanted to be an attorney when she was in seventh grade when her Junior High School class was given an introduction to law and she participated in a mock trial.  

 

Maria attended Lehman High School in The Bronx and then transferred to Monticello High School.  She graduated in 1990.  She obtained an A.A.S. in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies at Sullivan County Community College in 1993.  From there, she transferred to St. John's University and ontained her B.A. in 1995 and she obtained her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1999.

 

Before joining Casadevall & Castagnozzi, Esqs., Maria was employed and served as Of Counsel to several law firms in New York City and Westchester County.  Maria's area of concentration was pre-trial litigation on personal injury cases, and she handled every aspect of cases from inception to commencement of trial.  Prior to joining Casadevall & Castagnozzi, Esqs., Maria litigated several cases that resulted in verdicts and settlements in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Who we are

 

Alberto Casadevall

 

Alberto Casadevall was born in Sancti-Spiritus, Cuba, in 1958.  In 1968, he emigrated to Spain and then to the United States. Alberto obtained his law degree from New York Law School in 1984 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1985.  He was previously associated with, and also served as of counsel, to several law firms from 1985 to 1995.  Alberto’s first trial verdict in 1986 resulted in a verdict of $1,025,000 in Supreme Court: County of Nassau for a motorist injured in an auto accident.

             

Alberto had his own private practice from 1989 to 1995.  From 1995 to 2020 Alberto was a senior trial attorney for a local law firm supervising a litigation group and handled cases from inception through trial.

 

Prior to joining Casadevall & Castagnozzi, Esqs., Alberto obtained  numerous trial verdicts and settlements in excess of $1,000,000 while working at other law firms, Alberto is an active trial attorney and is also involved in handling post-trial motions and appeals.  Alberto takes pride in being involved in the case from intake and initial investigation through trial. Alberto is fluent in Spanish and interacts personally with all his clients.  Alberto has been invited to lecture in complex litigation childhood lead poisoning cases.
